Life of a College Student

Ready. Set. Go!

Movies like Project X, 21 & Over, and Neighbors have helped paint a portrait of the average college student experience, but it is not very accurate. Everyone thinks the life of a college student is about partying and doing crazy stuff, but my life revolves around quite the opposite. Rather than being a hooligan out at midnight partying, I am usually up late watching episodes of Friends on Netflix. Exciting isnt it?
The Life of a College Student

My secret life as a college student starts at 6:30 am meaning, I need as much sleep as I can get. I get my lunch ready and  get in the car to drive to school by 8 am. Class ends usually around 1pm and most of my classes assign homework everyday. When i get home from school I do my homework so I don't have to worry about it after work. Work usually goes from 4 pm to midnight and then i head home to get some sleep for the next day. As you can see, the life of a college student actually revolves around 40% school, 40% work and 10% sleep. There is no time to dilly dally in the party scene, when my grades aren't straight A's.
One thing that movies do not shed light on though is how much college student actually do care. We care about their grades, lifestyle choices and health. It is hard to find a balance between work and fun, but as a college student who has big aspirations, I plan to work hard now so i can play hard later. What is college life like?
